Krysia Tripp is an active performer in the U.S. andabroad. She has performed both as chamber musician and orchestra member in groups such as the SpoletoFestival (USA and Italy), the Aspen Music Festival, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, Sarasota MusicFestival, Bear Valley Festival (CA) and the New Hampshire Music Festival. Recent Concert seriesperformances include Chamber Music at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in Boston, and the Yale Center for British Art. Ms. Tripp has performed with the Southwest Florida Symphony, the Hartford Symphony, Rhode IslandPhilharmonic, Portland Symphony, MonadnockMusic, and The Sigmund Romberg Pops Orchestra. Radio appearances/broadcasts include NPR andRadio Italia. She has recorded on the New World, Gasparo, and Craft labels.
Ms. Tripp is currently a member of the Artist Faculties at the University of Southern Maine, Bates, and Bowdoin Colleges. Former students have won top prizes in prominent music competitions includingthe National Flute Association's 'Young Artist Competition', and the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition. Her students have also been selected toperform at Tanglewood and in NPR's 'From the Top' with Christopher O'Riley.
Krysia Tripp received an M.M. in Performance fromthe Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and studiedwith Thomas Nyfenger at Yale. Additional studies
with Leone Buyse, Robert Willoughby, JackWellbaum, and Julius Baker.
